Anyone involved in human subject research, including faculty, students, staff, research administrators, IRB members and IRB staff.
CONFERENCE SESSIONS
The agenda for the fall 2006 IRB conference includes a plenary morning session and afternoon breakout sessions. During the morning plenary session, keynote speaker Bernard Schwetz, DVM, PhD, Director of the federal Office of Human Research Protections, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will give his presentation. In the afternoon, participants will have a choice of breakout sessions to attend. The sessions will include “IRB Basics 1” and “IRB Basics 2” designed especially for new IRB members. Other tentative sessions include electronic data storage and security, research and internet privacy, and using the internet to collect data. Finalized breakout session descriptions will be posted to the web site shortly, along with the conference agenda.
